What Takt can save—and what happens when it cannot.
This is the public source-support matrix for Takt. It describes the shipped behavior, not a promise that every public URL will be available forever.
Takt turns supported public links, files, and recordings into searchable entries and Markdown notes. The original source remains attached when available. Extraction depends on the source being public, reachable, and within the active account's limits.

What “saved-only” means
Saved-only means Takt kept the source but did not create an AI analysis. It is used when a relevant allowance has been reached or the source is too long for the account's current plan. The entry shows its status rather than presenting a made-up summary or transcript.
A capture can also fail completely if the source cannot be accessed or stored. Private URLs, deleted posts, paywalls, changing publisher controls, and malformed files are outside Takt's control.
How export works
Every Takt note can be copied or downloaded as a '.md' file. Exports preserve the note's Markdown content. Where selected, they also include a compact front-matter block with fields such as the title, source URL, author, source type, and tags. This makes an exported library portable to a plain-text folder or a Markdown-based tool.

This page is about current product behavior, not a compatibility guarantee. Source platforms can change their access rules without notice, and plan limits can change. We will update this matrix when Takt's supported source surface or fallback behavior changes.
