Takt MCP

Connect Takt to Claude.

Use your saved sources as context in Claude Code or Claude's custom connector interface.

Connect Takt as a remote HTTP MCP server, then authorize it with your Takt account. Claude can then search and retrieve notes from your library; it cannot modify your library through Takt MCP.

Claude Code

  • In a terminal, add Takt's remote server:
claude mcp add --transport http takt https://mcp.trytakt.com/mcp
  • Start or return to Claude Code and type '/mcp'.
  • Choose Takt, select Authenticate, and complete the Takt sign-in in your browser.
  • Ask Claude Code to “search my Takt library for …”.

Claude Code's remote HTTP transport supports OAuth authorization. To disconnect later, use the Takt entry in '/mcp' and clear its authentication.

Claude (web or desktop)

  • Open Claude's settings and go to Connectors.
  • Select Add custom connector.
  • Enter 'https://mcp.trytakt.com/mcp' as the server URL.
  • Add the connector, then complete the Takt authorization window.
  • Enable Takt in Claude's tools or connectors interface before asking a library question.

Custom remote connectors are subject to the Claude plan and workspace controls available to you. If your organization manages connectors, an owner may need to add or allow it first.

Verify the connection

Ask: “Search my Takt library and list two notes about [a topic you saved].” Ask Claude to name the returned notes, then open them in Takt if you need to verify the original sources.
