Takt MCP

Connect Takt to Codex.

Use your saved articles, videos, PDFs, and notes as retrievable context in Codex.

In Codex CLI, add Takt's remote server and run its login command. Codex then opens Takt's browser authorization flow and can use the read-only library tools in your sessions.

Codex CLI

  • Run these commands in a terminal:
codex mcp add takt --url https://mcp.trytakt.com/mcp
codex mcp login takt
  • Complete the Takt sign-in in the browser that opens.
  • Start or continue a Codex task and ask: “Search my Takt library for …”

Codex desktop app

  • Open SettingsMCP servers.
  • Select Add server.
  • Name it Takt, choose Streamable HTTP, and enter:
https://mcp.trytakt.com/mcp
  • Save the server, restart the app if prompted, and select Authenticate.
  • Complete Takt sign-in in the browser.

Verify it

Ask Codex for a topic that exists in your library and ask it to identify the note titles it consulted. The connection is read-only, so it can retrieve context but cannot change your saved library.

If the server appears but calls fail, select its authentication control again. OAuth sign-in must complete before Codex can retrieve a note.
